Do you accept insurance? What payment methods are accepted?
Frog Medicine focuses on your health. We recognize the high costs of health care and want to provide quality, affordable healthcare to individuals. Visits are self-pay with cash, check, FSA/HSA cards, MasterCard/Visa, Google Wallet and Apple Pay. Superbills are available to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement . We collaborate with local imaging and lab organizations like XRAM, LabCorp or Quest Labs for self-pay options or insurance may reimburse your costs. Frog Medicine is able to provide referrals to specialty care, but does not guarantee reimbursement of costs, nor are we able to provide a prior authorization for services.
What to expect on my first visit? Conversation about you and your health! Bring your thoughts, labs, imaging or provider notes from visits that are the puzzle pieces to your health puzzle. We will discuss further workup as needed or referral to an extensive community of healers including: specialty trained bodyworkers, mental health providers, Chinese Medicine and Ayurveydic practitioners, acupuncturists, herbalists and chiropractic care.
How frequently will I need to follow up? Your care plan depends on your medical condition, history and other individual factors. When starting hormones follow up is usually 3-6 months, and then 3-9 months depending on your medical history. During your visit we will review your health puzzle pieces and your care plan will help solve your health puzzle!
Are there practice fees to be seen at Frog Medicine? There are no monthly or annual fees to schedule a visit. You only pay for the health care visits you need.
What makes a Frog Medicine visit different from a typical Western Medicine visit? Kara spent most of her life navigating the medical system for herself and loved ones, and understands the common struggle of needing a translator and an advocate to receive proper care. By usiing her medical training, she can translate complex medical jargon and provide you with the tools and power to confidently navigate the medical system for yourself and your loved ones.
